Who we are

Dental Turkey Insider ("we", "us") operates this website. Contact for privacy matters: dentalturkeyinsider@gmail.com. Data controller: ◆ To confirm: legal entity or responsible person, and registered address

What we collect

  • Ask an Insider form: your name, email address, country, chosen topic and message, and whether you opted in to updates.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and abuse prevention.
  • Email and WhatsApp: if you contact us at dentalturkeyinsider@gmail.com or on WhatsApp (+90 505 480 37 51), we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to send. WhatsApp messages are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms.
  • Analytics: we do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics, this section will be updated first.

Experiences, complaints and health details: you may tell us about your experience with a clinic, including complaints. If your message includes health-related information, we process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, as described in the Explicit Consent section below.

Optional clinic information requests

If you use our clinic options request, we receive your name, email, country, what you'd like help with, preferred city, timeframe and any message. This request only allows us to contact you about clinic options.

  • No sharing without separate permission: we do not share any of your information with a clinic unless you give separate, explicit permission for that specific clinic, after we tell you which clinic it is, what we would share, why, and our relationship with it.
  • No automatic forwarding: medical records, photographs and treatment documents are never forwarded automatically. You decide what to send, and to whom.
  • Declining is free: refusing or withdrawing permission never affects your access to anything on this website.
  • Recipients: clinics in Türkiye that you approve individually. Once a clinic receives information with your permission, it processes it as a separate data controller under its own privacy policy.

◆ To confirm: legal adviser to confirm the legal basis and wording for sharing patient data with clinics (KVKK explicit consent / GDPR), and retention for clinic requests

Checklist and comparison tools

Anything you enter in the Clinic Checklist or Dental Quote Analyzer is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time using the "Clear" button or by clearing your browser data.

Videos

Embedded YouTube videos load only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once played, YouTube (Google) may set cookies under its own privacy policy.

Why we use your information

  • To reply to your question (based on your consent).
  • To send occasional updates, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to operate the site and handle messages, including Google (Gmail) for email and WhatsApp for messaging. Other providers: ◆ To confirm: hosting provider and any form-delivery / spam-protection provider once chosen. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your inquiry to any clinic without your explicit permission.

International transfers

◆ To confirm: describe where data is stored and the safeguards for transfers between Türkiye, the UK/EU and other countries

How long we keep it

◆ To confirm: retention period for inquiries and newsletter subscriptions

Health-related information is a special category of personal data under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and, where applicable, the GDPR. We therefore process it only with your explicit consent. Please read this notice before sending us any such information.

Explicit consent statement

I have read this notice. I give my explicit consent for Dental Turkey Insider to process the health-related information I choose to share (for example details of my treatment, symptoms, results, photographs, X-rays, treatment plans or other documents) for the purposes below, and I understand that:

  • Purpose: my information will be used only to read and reply to my message, to understand my question, experience or complaint, and to help me identify useful questions and publicly verifiable information.
  • No publication, no sharing: my information and my story will not be published, and will not be shared with any clinic, coordinator, agency or other third party, without my separate, explicit permission. It will not be used for marketing.
  • Email and WhatsApp: if I write by email or WhatsApp, my messages are handled by Google (Gmail) and WhatsApp (Meta), whose servers may be located outside Türkiye. I consent to my information being transferred abroad for this purpose.
  • Voluntary: giving this consent is voluntary. I can ask questions without sharing any health information.
  • Withdrawal: I can withdraw my consent and ask for my information to be deleted at any time by writing to dentalturkeyinsider@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
  • My rights: I keep all my rights under applicable data protection law, including those set out in Article 11 of KVKK and, where applicable, the GDPR.

How consent is given: by ticking the explicit-consent box on our Ask an Insider form, or, when writing by email or WhatsApp, by confirming in your message that you have read this notice and give your consent. If you would like to send photographs, X-rays or documents, tell us first and we will suggest a private way to share them.

◆ To confirm: legal adviser to review this consent text and confirm the retention period for health-related information
