The short answer

Choose a dental clinic in Türkiye by separating marketing from evidence. Shortlist three to five clinics, confirm each one's legal identity and who will actually treat you, request an itemised written quotation, compare what is included rather than the headline price, and make sure deposit, refund and follow-up terms are in writing before you commit.

  • Advertising tells you what a clinic wants you to see. Your job is to find what you can verify.
  • Compare like with like: the same treatment plan, itemised, with the same inclusions.
  • Know who is responsible for your treatment, not just who answers your messages.
  • Anything that matters, from price and deposit to refunds and follow-up, should be in writing.

Most people begin their search for a dental clinic in Türkiye the same way: a social media advert, a friend's recommendation, or a search that returns a page of polished clinic websites. All of them look reassuring, and that is the difficulty.

This guide gives you a method that doesn't depend on who has the biggest marketing budget. It won't tell you which clinic to choose. Nobody outside a proper clinical consultation can do that responsibly. It will help you build a shortlist you can actually defend.

Start by separating marketing from evidence

Clinic marketing is designed to answer one question: why should you contact us? That's legitimate, but it isn't the same as the question you need answered: what exactly am I agreeing to, and with whom?

As you research, sort what you find into two piles:

  • Marketing: slogans, "all-inclusive" promises, smile galleries, influencer content, discount banners, and claims about being "the best" or "number one".
  • Evidence: the clinic's legal business name and address, the named dentist responsible for your care, a written and itemised quotation, documented deposit and refund terms, and clear arrangements for follow-up.

Marketing can help you discover a clinic. Only evidence should help you choose one.

Step 1: Build a shortlist of three to five clinics

Collect candidates from more than one place: personal recommendations, independent research and your own searches. Avoid building your shortlist entirely from adverts, which tend to surface whoever is spending the most at that moment.

For each clinic, note where you found it. If every option came through the same agency or coordinator, that is worth knowing. We explain why in our guide to the difference between a clinic, a coordinator and a travel agency.

Step 2: Confirm who you are actually dealing with

Before discussing prices, establish the basics:

  1. What is the clinic's full legal name and address? A brand name on Instagram is not enough.
  2. Who will be responsible for your treatment? Ask for the name of the dentist, and whether the same person will carry out the work.
  3. Who is answering your messages? It may be a patient coordinator, an agency or a sales team. That's normal, but you should know which.
  4. What authorization information can the clinic share, and can you check it independently? A reputable clinic should be comfortable with the question.

Insider note: In our experience, the friendliest person in the conversation is often a coordinator or sales representative, not the clinician. That is not a red flag in itself. It just means clinical questions need clinical answers, from the person who will actually be treating you.

Step 3: Ask for an itemised written quotation

A single total figure tells you very little. Ask each clinic for a written quotation that lists each element separately: the treatment items, consultations and imaging, any temporary work, accommodation, transfers, and anything else included.

Then ask the more revealing question: what is not included? We cover this in detail in What Does a Dental Quotation Really Include?

Step 4: Compare what is offered, not just what it costs

Once you have two or three quotations, line them up side by side. You'll often find that the cheapest offer includes less, assumes a different plan, or leaves important items to be "confirmed on arrival".

Our free Dental Quote Analyzer lets you put up to three offers next to each other and print the result.

Compare this Why it matters
The treatment plan itself Different plans can't be compared on price alone.
What is included Imaging, temporary work and medication are common differences.
What is excluded Exclusions are where unexpected costs usually appear.
Deposit and refund terms Determines what you lose if plans change.
Follow-up arrangements Matters most after you've flown home.

Step 5: Get the important terms in writing

Before you pay anything, make sure you have written answers about the deposit, the refund policy, what happens if your treatment plan changes after an in-person examination, and how follow-up will work once you're home. See What Should You Ask Before Paying a Dental Treatment Deposit?

Step 6: Notice how the conversation feels

Pay attention to the process as well as the answers. Were your questions welcomed? Were you given time to decide? Or were you pushed towards a deposit with a discount that "expires today"?

A clinic that is confident in its work can usually afford to let you think it over.

What this method can't do

This approach helps you make an informed, organised decision. It cannot tell you whether a particular treatment is right for you. That judgement belongs to a licensed dental professional who has examined you. Consider getting an opinion from a dentist at home as well, especially for extensive treatment plans.

A simple way to keep track

Our Clinic Checklist turns the steps above into a list you can work through for each clinic. It saves in your browser and prints cleanly, so you can bring it into every conversation.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked

How many clinics should I compare?

Three to five is usually enough to see a realistic range without becoming overwhelmed. Fewer than three makes it hard to tell whether an offer is typical.

Is the cheapest clinic always a bad choice?

No. A lower price can reflect genuine differences in overheads, materials or package contents. The point is to understand why a price is lower, which an itemised quotation helps you do.

Should I choose a clinic based on online reviews?

Reviews are one signal, not proof. Read them for detail and consistency over time, and combine them with information you can verify directly, such as the clinic's legal identity and the written terms it offers.

Can Dental Turkey Insider tell me which clinic to choose?

No. We don't recommend treatments or rank clinics on clinical quality. We help you understand the process and the questions worth asking, so you can make your own informed decision with licensed professionals.
